Sunday Supplement: Sleep and Women with Dr. Helen Driver

Value your sleep? It’s essential to optimal functioning, and the benefits are multi-faceted; but are professional working women really getting enough? I’m joined by expert somnologist, Dr. Helen Driver, to discuss the key to getting those recommended 7-8 hours.

Not only do we get into how to get a good night’s sleep; we cover snoring, the benefits of sex and more. Helen also shares insights on the three hormonal phases that affect sleep patterns for women. Whether you’re an insomniac or a sleep lover, be sure to listen in.

Helen Driver is a somnologist at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and Queen’s University, Canada where she manages a six-bed sleep lab. She’s a Past-President of the Canadian Sleep Society and on the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
